Raymond Ratzlaff

Raymond Samuel Ratzlaff (born April 10, 1931) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1967 to 1971 sitting with the Social Credit caucus in government. He served as a cabinet minister in the government of Harry Strom from 1969 to 1971.
==Political career==
Ratzlaff ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature as a Social Credit candidate in the 1967 Alberta general election. He won the electoral district of Three Hills defeating three other candidates and taking over half the popular vote to hold the seat for his party.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Three Hills results 1967 )
Ratzlaff was appointed to the Executive Council of Alberta on May 27, 1969 to be the Minister of Industry and Tourism by Premier Harry Strom. He ran for a second term in the 1971 Alberta general election but was defeated by Progressive Conservative candidate Allan Warrack in a very close race. The race was one of the closest of the election with Ratzlaff being defeated by just 8 votes.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Three Hills results 1971 )
